Easter at SPC: Balance the Chocolate with the Barbell
Easter is here – and at Sussex Performance Centre, we’re all about embracing the season without losing momentum on your fitness journey.
Let’s be honest: chocolate eggs, roast dinners, and a few well-earned days off can feel like a slippery slope. But with the right mindset (and a little help from your SPC coaches), Easter can be a time to recharge, refocus, and even reignite your motivation.

1. It’s OK to Enjoy Yourself
Yes, even your coach had a Creme Egg this week. Easter is about celebration – family, food, and fun – and one weekend won’t undo your progress. What matters is what you do consistently after the bank holiday weekend, not just during it.
2. Use the Long Weekend to Move More
With a few extra days off, this is a great opportunity to:
-
Try a new class at SPC – SPC Blast is our HIIT session that runs every Saturday at 9:15-9:45am!
-
Get outdoors for a walk, hike, or jog
-
Bring a friend or family member to the gym for a casual session
You’ve got time – use it in a way that makes you feel good!
3. Post-Easter Reset? We’ve Got You
If you’re feeling a little sluggish after the celebrations, don’t panic. Come in, get back to your training, and let momentum build again. One strong session can be the reset button you need.
Not sure where to start? Chat to your coach – whether you need a nutrition refresh, a training tweak, or just a bit of motivation, we’ve got your back.
4. SPC Spring Challenges Are Coming
Keep your eyes peeled – we’re launching a few new challenges and events to keep things fun, competitive, and community-driven as we head into spring and summer. Easter might be about eggs now… but it’s beach season before you know it!
Final Thought At SPC, we believe in sustainable, enjoyable fitness. Easter isn’t a setback – it’s a reminder that real results come from balance, not extremes.
So enjoy the roast lamb, have the chocolate, and then get back to doing what you do best – showing up, training hard, and pushing for better.
See you in the gym! 🐣💪
