I started playing professional football over ten years ago and I have worked closely with some of the top strength and conditioning coaches in the game. This has enabled me to gain a vast knowledge of training.
I began my professional career at Southampton at the age of 16 and have played over 200 games for York City, Torquay United and Forest Green Rovers. Whilst at Forest Green, I had the opportunity to captain them in the 2016 play-off final at Wembley. Throughout my playing career, I have always had a keen interest in health and fitness, especially as my job was to remain in top physical condition.
I suffered my first Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury in 2014, which led me to gain my personal training qualifications to give me a greater understanding of my rehabilitation training programme. During my rehabilitation, I began training several clients each working on various goals including marathon running, strength training and targeted weight loss.
Unfortunately in 2017 I suffered a second ACL injury which would end up keeping me out of the game for 15 months. During this time, I frequently went to Sussex Performance Centre for my rehabilitation and strength and conditioning programming.
I thoroughly enjoy training a diverse range of clients, from young athletes to older clientele, to help them achieve whatever their goals may be. I believe that it is important to have fun whilst training and working towards a specific goal. I aim to encourage you every step of the way and constantly challenge you with a diverse and structured training plan.
Alongside personal training, I have run the last three SPC Soccer Camps, which have proved to be hugely successful with local children. This is something I aim to continue throughout 2019 to introduce aspiring footballers to training techniques experienced during the professional game.
I’m looking forward to getting started and can’t wait to build my reputation at SPC
