Our August 2018 pre-season training camp focuses on the fundamental physical and technical components required for the upcoming season.
The 3 day camp covers everything your son will need to prepare them for the rigours of a football season. Unlike SPC Soccer Camp 1.0 & 2.0, we will be specifically focusing on the following areas of training:

Who are we looking for?
We require a maximum of 32 boys aged 13, 14 or 15 years old. Ideally, these boys will have had experience of youth football coaching and are passionate about improving their abilities whilst show a willingness to learn from others.
We have kept the numbers of the camp to minimum so to provide a fantastic and realistic experience for each player involved.
This is a soccer camp like no other; train with focus, intensity and dedication in an environment that provides all the expert coaching to enhance the abilities and success of young athletes.
Who are the coaches?
Aarran Racine – Formerly of Southampton, York and Forest Green Rovers
The training camp will be led by Aarran Racine, who has played professional soccer for Southampton, York and Forest Green Rovers. Aarran has recently signed at Worthing FC whilst also being a Development Coach working across various age groups for their youth academy.
Harry Short – SPC Performance Coach
Additionally, Harry Short (SPC Performance Coach) joins the team to bring his knowledge of strength & conditioning expertise. Harry is a BSc Sport Scientist and Sussex University Men’s & Women’s Assistant Rugby Coach. Harry has a wealth of experience with youth athlete development and has insights into sports across multiple disciplines.
Our 3 day camp focuses on the technical and physiological components of football.
What does the training camp consist of?
During the soccer camp the boys will specifically work on ball appreciation such as control and technique; how to defend and attack in individual and team situations; the positional aspects of the game and how to develop match play awareness. They will conduct their football sessions at the Sussex FA Headquarters.
Alongside training sessions on the football pitches, players will be undertaking a number of fitness assessments which help to identify areas needing of improvement for the upcoming season. The players will gain experience of testing that is undertaken at professional football clubs around the world. They will be introduced to the basic principles of strength and conditioning and will experience daily sessions based around developing their strength, speed, movement capabilities and mobility.
All players will be provided with individualise feedback for the upcoming season.
What are the dates of the camp and how much does it cost?
The cost of the training camp is £75. The camp will be held at Sussex FA Headquarters in Lancing.
