SPC Mum's Group assists women 6+ months post childbirth to regain fitness.

A specific emphasis will be placed on mobility, pelvic floor exercises and light resistance training, to transition you gently back into exercise.

The SPC mum’s group has been created to assist women in regaining and/or developing their fitness after childbirth. We understand that there can be a lot of frustration with regards to not being at your previous level of fitness, however we are on hand to provide you with a relevant and sustainable exercise programme to make the process a little easier.
For some women, confidence can be an issue as your body may not be the same after birth. At SPC, you will be part of a community of people in a similar position to yourself.

Rest assured you will feel comfortable knowing that you are in a non-judgemental environment, where everyone is striving to reach a common goal. The SPC mum’s group is also a great chance to meet new people as you will be part of a private WhatsApp group and Facebook page, both of which are safe spaces to discuss training or organise social meet ups.

It is our aim to change the way in which women view their bodies after childbirth. The body goes through a magnificent change during pregnancy and sometimes it can be very easy to pressurise yourself with how you think you should look and feel after childbirth. We aim to rid our mums of any negative stereotypes and enhance their physical and mental wellbeing through an appropriate and structured exercise programme.
