It is pretty simple. If you follow these daily habits you will be healthier, fitter, stronger and happier in 2020.
You better believe it.
Get Direct Sunlight
Natural sunlight improves circadian rhymes, improves neurotransmitter levels in your brain and increases your absorption of vitamin D. Sunlight and darkness trigger the release of hormones in your brain. Exposure to sunlight is thought to increase the brain’s release of a hormone called serotonin. Serotonin is associated with boosting mood and helping a person feel calm and focused.
Aim for 8000 – 10,000 steps per day. A basic level of movement is critical to prevent disease and fat gain. This should be fundamental alongside any structured training programme you follow.
Focused Training For 15 Minutes Minimum
Mobility, lifting, stretching, home-based workouts, cardiovascular training, play sports etc. There really is no excuses for not training 3x per week anymore.
Fruit and/or Vegetables At Every Meal
You body needs quality food and micronutrients for health and vitality. Do not underestimate the power of their anti-ageing health benefits.
Its amazing the amount of people that do not drink enough water. Buy a 2 litre bottle, fill it up, drink it throughout the day. Drink more if you’re training. It is that simple.
10 Minutes Of Mindfulness
Be present, grateful and calm your brain. Stress is a progress killer and is also linked to a number of health problems. Mindfulness is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as a way to prevent depression in people.
Laugh A Lot!
If you’re not having fun, life can be so dull. Make sure you spend time with others who make your life enjoyable.
Eat With Others
We are tribal creatures, not solitary beings. Spend some time with those that matter over a meal of delicious and healthy food. This is particularly important for families.
Stimulate your brain away from social media and it will improve your life. You will learn about anything that interests you and it provides you with so much more than just knowledge. Many books can prove inspirational.
An obvious one but yet so many people stay up late, using screens and generally ruining their sleep quality. If you want to feel awesome, you need to be sleeping for 7-8 hours per night. It will improve every aspect of your health.
