What Does Tier 4 Mean For Gyms?

Under Tier 4 restrictions, people can exercise outdoors or visit some public outdoor places, such as parks, the countryside accessible to the public, public gardens or outdoor sports facilities (including outdoor gyms). 

You can continue to do unlimited exercise alone, or in a public outdoor place with your household, support bubble, or with one other person if you maintain social distancing. 

Indoor gyms and sports facilities will close. 

Outdoor sports courts and outdoor gyms can remain open for individual exercise, and for people to use with others within your household, support bubble, or with one person from another household. 

Organised outdoor sport for under 18s and disabled people will be allowed.

What does this mean for SPC Members?

The outdoor facility at SPC will be open for one-to-one personal training only

All group training will return online to Zoom until we are able to use the SPC facility (indoors or outdoors).

SPC Youth will be back at the outdoor SPC facility subject to availability and all will be contacted by Aarran Racine (Head of SPC Youth).

The future of SPC

Of course, the current restrictions make life extremely challenging for businesses. SPC is no different. However, we won’t stop in providing a service to all our members during this time as we know how much exercise can improve someone’s wellbeing, both physically and mentally. Making someone’s life that little bit better is all we care about

SPC remains totally committed to our community and aims to be back to the facility in 2021 bigger, stronger and better than ever before for our 5 year anniversary.
